Our Team

Director · Director of Photography · CEO

Jacopo Bonfante

Jacopo Bonfante is a director, cinematographer, and screenwriter, as well as the founder and CEO of Chroma Film & Production.

He works across feature films, short films, documentaries, and music videos, developing projects that combine a distinctive creative vision with solid production expertise. His background was further shaped by his studies in Cinema & New Media at DAM Academy in Rome, an experience that strengthened both his technical and narrative approach while broadening his perspective on contemporary visual languages.

His vision emerges from the encounter between storytelling and imagery: for him, cinema is not simply about telling a story, but about creating atmosphere, tension, and memory. Every project becomes a world to inhabit, a delicate balance between light, composition, and emotional rhythm.

He observes reality through a constantly cinematic eye.
He studies light as a living material.
He searches for depth in contrasts, truth in silence, and intensity in detail.

As a director, he guides the narrative with sensitivity and control, allowing space for emotion without ever losing visual coherence.
As a cinematographer, he shapes images with precision, creating environments that do more than serve as a backdrop: they become an active part of the story.

At the helm of Chroma Film & Production, he develops productions with a strong and recognizable visual identity. Every project is conceived with character, direction, and intention.

He does not seek images that are merely beautiful.
He seeks images that are necessary.

Because when cinema is authentic, it does not simply ask to be watched:
it asks to be experienced.

Editing · VFX

Alessandro Marisei

Alessandro Marisei is a video editor born in Milan and now based in Rimini, the city of Federico Fellini.

For him, cinema is magic.
The kind of magic Charlie Chaplin spoke about. The kind that cannot be explained — only felt.

He loves creative, emotional editing built around rhythm.
Purposeful sequences. Cuts that breathe. Pauses that carry weight.

Power and poetry coexist.
Images and sounds merge until they become atmosphere. Impact. Memory.

He grew up dreaming in front of masterpieces that taught him what truly lies behind the camera:

  • Blade Runner
  • Bicycle Thieves
  • Back to the Future
  • Alien

Films that do more than tell stories.
They build worlds.

As a child, he wanted to be a magician, like Mickey Mouse in Fantasia.

Today, he does not pull that magic out of a hat.
He creates it on the timeline.

Alongside editing, he is passionate about cinematic Digital Art, with a particular fascination for dystopian and post-apocalyptic atmospheres — suspended worlds, oblique light, and silences charged with meaning.

Because a great film, like a great book or a work of art,
is not simply watched.

It stays with you.

Photography

Marco Castelletti

Marco Castelletti is a professional photographer with over 30 years of experience, specializing in unit still photography and film sets.

His background in sports photojournalism shaped the way he looks at the world: quickly, instinctively, always searching for the decisive moment.

A fraction of a second can change everything.
A gesture.
A glance.
A movement in the light.

That same instinct naturally found its place on film sets, where photography requires more than technical precision. It demands discretion, timing, and the ability to understand what is happening without interfering with it.

Marco works within the rhythm of a production, observing scenes as they unfold and capturing the moments that exist around the moving image: the intensity of a performance, the concentration behind the camera, the relationship between actors and crew, and the details that define the atmosphere of a set.

His photographs are conceived not simply as documentation, but as part of the visual identity of a project.

Images for press.
For communication.
For social media.
For production archives.

But above all, images capable of preserving what happens between one frame and the next.

Because sometimes a single photograph can hold the atmosphere of an entire scene.

Music · Audio & Sound Design

Giuliano Vangelista

Giuliano began as a keyboard player.
He grew up among stages, roaring amplifiers, and audiences alive with energy.
For years, he performed with bands on the local music scene, building real-world experience — the kind forged through sweat, careful listening, and mistakes gradually transformed into precision.

It was through live performance that he developed an obsession:
sound should not merely be heard. It should hit you.

From there came the natural transition into music production.

  • Mixing
  • Mastering
  • Production for bands and projects based on real instruments

He developed his skills through professional training courses, including at Catsound Studio, as well as through further study with American audio professionals.
But technique alone is never enough.

Over the years, he expanded his field of work into cinematic sound design.

Atmospheres.
Sonic textures.
Environments that begin telling the story even before the images appear.

He creates soundscapes, works with emotional dynamics, and sculpts frequencies to add narrative depth.
From metal to rock, from jazz to contemporary cross-genre influences, all the way to more evocative forms of sonic exploration.

His approach combines:

  • technical precision
  • a musician's sensitivity
  • cinematic vision

Giuliano works alongside artists throughout every stage of a project, from pre-production to the final master.

The goal is not simply to “make it sound good.”
It is to transform energy into identity.
To translate the power of a live performance into a solid production.
And, when needed, to turn a song into a visual experience — even without images.

Because sound does not fill space.
It creates it.
